Sift

Sift chặn quảng cáo và trình theo dõi cho toàn bộ mạng. Trỏ router hoặc thiết bị của bạn vào nó, và mọi truy vấn DNS trong mạng sẽ đi qua các danh sách lọc mà bạn đăng ký. Chỉ một binary tĩnh khoảng 10 MB, hoặc một container image 57 MB, chạy được trên mọi thứ từ Raspberry Pi trở lên.

Sift phục vụ DNS thường, DNS-over-TLS, DNS-over-HTTPS, DNS-over-QUIC và HTTP/3; lưu cấu hình riêng cho từng client, nhật ký truy vấn và thống kê; cùng một giao diện web cho tất cả, viết riêng cho dự án này bằng React và TypeScript.

Nó cũng là bản thay thế drop-in cho AdGuard Home v0.107.79: đọc và ghi đúng file AdGuardHome.yaml đó, đúng nhật ký truy vấn, đúng stats.db và đúng session đó, phục vụ đúng control API đó — nên nó tiếp quản một bản cài đặt sẵn có ngay tại chỗ, và trả lại mà không thay đổi file nào.

Viết bằng Rust, mã nguồn mở, miễn phí, không telemetry: không có gì rút ra từ truy vấn của bạn được gửi đi đâu cả. Safe Browsing và Parental Control bị bỏ đi có chủ đích vì lý do đó — chúng là thứ duy nhất trong mã nguồn gửi thông tin phát sinh từ truy vấn của người dùng tới bên thứ ba.

Sift is a network-wide ad and tracker blocker. Point your router or your devices at it, and every DNS query on the network goes through the filter lists you subscribe to. It is one static binary of about 10 MB, or a 57 MB container image, and it runs on anything from a Raspberry Pi upward.

It serves plain DNS, DNS-over-TLS, DNS-over-HTTPS, DNS-over-QUIC and HTTP/3; keeps per-client settings, a query log and statistics; and has a web interface for all of it, written for this project in React and TypeScript.

It is also a drop-in replacement for AdGuard Home v0.107.79: it reads and writes the same AdGuardHome.yaml, the same query log, the same stats.db and the same sessions, and serves the same control API — so it takes over an existing installation in place, and hands it back without changing a file.

Written in Rust, open source, free, and no telemetry: nothing derived from your queries is sent anywhere. Safe browsing and parental control are left out deliberately for that reason — they were the only thing in the tree that sent anything derived from a user's query to a third party.
